BYO venues are the new hot trend popping up all over the country. They offer the perfect opportunity to personalize and add a bit of pizazz to your event! The alcohol industry is constantly changing and with those changes come new and exciting options. With so many options to choose from, you may be asking, “What should I put behind the bar?”
Take for example, the signature cocktail. Over the last few years these drinks have been making an appearance at weddings and corporate events alike. Couples spend days coming up with the perfect “His” and “Hers” cocktails to make their bar a reflection of their personalities. Some stick with their personal favorites (Rum & Coke, Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned, etc.) while others take it to the next level by meeting with mixologists and creating a brand new drink.
Knottie Martini anyone?
What You Need
1 oz. Bacardi Superior Rum
1/2 oz. blue curacao
2 oz. pineapple juice
pineapple slice, for garnish
How to Make It
In a shaker, blend the pineapple juice, blue curacao, and rum. Strain into a chilled martini glass, garnish with a pineapple slice and serve immediately.
Corporate events don’t have to be a snooze either! Corporations are coming up with fun new ways to engage with their employees and create memorable events. At a holiday party last year, one of our clients wanted to “wow” their crowd and promote a fun atmosphere. By sticking to the holiday theme, J. Scott Catering was able to design delicious libations for all to enjoy.
Looking for an after dinner treat?
While some may lean towards a nice, smooth, glass of whiskey and cigar, others may just want something to pep up their coffee. Try setting up a table with your favorite whiskeys and utilize the outdoors spaces of your venue to pair them with a fresh rolled cigar. If you’re not a cigar fan, but would love a bit of whiskey, leave a bottle of Bailey’s Irish Whiskey by the coffee station. Now there is something for everyone to enjoy!
The bottom line is, when it comes to BYO, don’t forget to bring the FUN!
